How Chanfrau & Chanfrau Can Help You Chanfrau & Chanfrau works on a contingency fee basis on our personal injury cases, meaning you will only owe an attorney's fee if we obtain compensation for your case.
Large law firms that have significant overhead costs are often motivated to rush cases and accept lower settlements. Our personal injury firm always sets out to attain the maximum value in compensation for each claim. We never devalue a case by under-settling or moving too quickly.
Our team of three attorneys and seven paralegals and assistants like to say we are "large enough to serve you professionally and small enough to know you personally." To help bolster your case, our team will use our resources to retain investigators and experts to obtain evidence. What Our Personal Injury Law Firm Can Do For You
If you are a victim of a car accident, motorcycle crash, or sustained any injuries involving a motor vehicle, our attorneys are interested in hearing your personal injury case.
Some people may be hesitant to contact an attorney after they've been in a car accident. Insurance companies may promise to pay you for damages and compensation like medical bills, and deter you from seeking legal representation. If you've been hurt in a car accident or a vehicle crash however, it is in your best interest to have someone who will fight for you in court.
Having a team on your side that has experience with Florida's personal injury laws can make all the difference in your case. A winning verdict in your favor can result in compensation for wages lost, medical bills, vehicle damages, and more. Our team of attorneys may be able to secure compensation for loss of future wages if your injuries make it impossible to work or continue working in your professional field.
As a tourist location for motorcyclists and race car enthusiasts, Volusia County experiences an influx in both foot traffic and road traffic throughout the year. If you were involved in a personal injury, contact our Daytona or Palm Beach office today.

Motorcyclists are disproportionately affected by accidents on the road. The cause of motorcycle accidents ranges from dangerous conditions and lane splitting to inattentive drivers and drunk drivers. Unfortunately, many motorcyclists also find themselves the targets of road rage, which significantly increases their risk on the road. As a hotspot for motorcyclists, Florida can sometimes magnify this risk. During events like Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach, the danger of an accident in the area increases substantially.
At our law firm with offices in Daytona Beach and Palm Coast, our personal injury lawyers will fight to hold those responsible for your or your loved one's injuries accountable for their actions. We will investigate your case, negotiate on your behalf, and represent you in court to ensure you receive the compensation you need to recover from your injuries.
If you are considering filing a lawsuit against the party responsible for your or your loved one's motorcycle accident, it is important to be aware of time restrictions. In Florida, the statute of limitations only allows you to file a claim within the first four years after an accident. If the victim was killed, the window shrinks to two years.
Truck Accident Statistics* *According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
Fatal Crashes Involving Large Trucks
2017: 4,376 2018: 4,461 2019: 4,479
Total Fatal Truck Crashes in Florida Involving Large Trucks
2017: 281 2018: 296 2019: 311
Commercial truck drivers are held to a higher level of responsibility than other drivers, but the roads are unpredictable. Because of their size, weight, and reduced maneuverability, trucks can be especially dangerous when driven or used improperly. Unfortunately, passenger vehicles are at much greater risk during an impact in a truck accident. Common causes of truck accidents include inadequate training, lack of maintenance, fatigue, improper loading, drunk driving, and even simply inattentive driving. Any one of these factors can lead to head-on accidents, side-impacts, rollovers, jackknifes, and rear-end or under-ride collisions.
When it comes to a personal injury claim involving an accident with a large truck, seeking claims becomes incredibly complicated. Depending on the relationship between the driver and the company they are working for, the truck driver may or may not be an employee. The driver may or may not be driving a truck owned by the company they are working for, which complicates matters further. This not only makes it difficult to know who is responsible for the accident, but it can also mean there are multiple insurance companies involved. With the help of a personal injury attorney, you can hold drivers and their employers responsible for the harm they have inflicted upon you or a loved one.
It is important to keep in mind that Florida is a no-fault state. As a result, unless there is a permanent injury or a wrongful death, there is a limit to how much insurance will pay the victim of a truck accident. Insurance may only have to pay up to 80 percent of medical damages and 60 percent of lost wages. This illustrates the importance of having a personal injury lawyer on your side. With the help of a personal injury lawyer from Chanfrau & Chanfrau, you can receive the best possible settlement for your claim.
