Daytona Beach Office Staff
Roxie Courson
Roxie began her legal career in 1973 working for an insurance defense firm in Daytona Beach. After two years there, she began working as a legal secretary to an attorney who specialized in plaintiff’s personal injury and decided that was her true calling. After nine years at that firm she joined Chanfrau & Chanfrau in 1985 as Bill Chanfrau Sr.’s personal secretary/legal assistant. She was promoted to office manager in 2002 and continues to work directly for Bill Sr. as his personal secretary while also assisting in the organization and maintenance of his cases, assisting with supervising and training of staff personnel, as well as performing various administrative duties. Roxie’s husband is a victim of an automobile crash which rendered him an incomplete quadriplegic. This has helped her develop a special empathy for injured clients.

Amanda Brown
Amanda was born and raised in Ormond Beach. She graduated from Daytona State College with an A.A.S Degree in Paralegal Studies in the fall of 2010. Amanda began her career at Chanfrau & Chanfrau in 2010 as the administrative assistant to W. M. Chanfrau, Sr., Roxie Courson and Greg Olsen and quickly escalated to a pre-litigation paralegal. Amanda is currently a paralegal for William M. Chanfrau Jr. and is involved in our personal injury cases.

Laura Brown
Laura is the Senior Pre-Litigation Paralegal to William M. Chanfrau, Jr. She began her legal career in 2002 and has proudly been a part of the Chanfrau team since 2009. Laura was born in 1983 in Miami, Florida and relocated to New Smyrna Beach with her family in 1984, where she now resides with her husband and family. She graduated from Daytona State College in 2003 and also holds a 2-20 Commercial Lines Insurance license. Laura prides herself in the support she provides to her clients and is accompanied by her legal assistant, and right-hand, Ashley Miller. Together, they serve each client with the personal attention they deserve.

Melanie Schacht
Melanie has been a legal assistant for Kelly Chanfrau since 2014. She was born in Macon, Georgia and attended Lanier High School. Melanie also attended Delta State University, Mississippi State University, Mississippi Delta Community College and Kaplan College all for Paralegal Studies. She has been a legal assistant as well as a paralegal since 1996 in areas of criminal law, labor law, wills, trusts, probate, real estate and corporate.

Twila Bowden
Twila started with the Chanfrau and Chanfrau law firm in 2015 and is a paralegal for all 3 attorneys. She is a Daytona Beach native and is actively involved in her community. Twila attended Daytona Beach Community College for Paralegal Studies and has been in the legal field, locally, for over 24 years.
Ashley Miller
Ashley has been with Chanfrau and Chanfrau since 2002 and has known the Chanfrau family for practically all of her life. Her mother, Roxie, has worked here since 1985. Ashley started as the receptionist, then progressed to an administrative assistant, and was handling some bookkeeping tasks for a short period. She is now Laura Brown’s legal assistant and still does numerous things around the office for everyone. She graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 2000 and has been working ever since.
Diane Harrell
Diane is the firm’s office administrator and the first voice you hear when you contact our office. Diane worked in banking for several years, then started with the Chanfrau family in 2013. Diane graduated from Atlantic High School in 2002 then attended Daytona Beach Community College.
Jessica Lee
Jessica began her career in the legal field in 2007. She worked at the Daytona Beach Courthouse and as a family law paralegal for 3 years. She was born and raised in the Daytona Beach area. After high school she attended Daytona State College and Valencia Community College and then moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida. She has been with the firm since 2013 and is the legal assistant to Greg Olsen, the firm’s litigation paralegal, and also handles the criminal cases with William Chanfrau, Jr.
Kimberlee Kelly
Kim started with Chanfrau & Chanfrau in 2014. She is the firm’s office clerk and assists all of the staff with numerous tasks. She is an Ormond Beach native and graduate of Mainland High School. Before starting at Chanfrau & Chanfrau she worked at MPG Portraits for 3 years as a graphic designer.
Donna Staton
Donna has been a paralegal for over 20 years and has specialized in personal injury on both the plaintiff and defense sides. Prior to joining Chanfrau and Chanfrau Donna has worked for the Attorney General's Office in Atlanta, Georgia, AIG, a worldwide insurance company, and another large Plaintiff's Personal Injury firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Donna brings with her a vast knowledge of commercial trucking claims, investigative legal research, and medical analysis.
Kristy Brown
Kristy was born and raised in Ormond Beach until she left to attend University of North Florida where she acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature in 2004. She then returned to Ormond Beach where she began her career at Chanfrau and Chanfrau. After four years she decided to take a sabbatical and obtained her Master's degree in Higher Education & Policy Studies at the University of Central Florida. Though she enjoyed her time in the educational field, she realized her real home was with the Chanfrau family. She is currently Amanda Manley's legal assistant and enjoys working with such a team oriented staff and family operated law firm.
Betsy Mathena - Accountant
Betsy is a licensed CPA and is the firm’s accountant. She has been with Chanfrau & Chanfrau since 2009 and is responsible for all functions encompassing the accounting cycle – from day-to-day paying of bills, deposits and payroll to the review of trust accounts and general ledger reconciliations and analysis. She is a Seabreeze High School graduate and attended Daytona Beach Community College (AA Degree), University of Central Florida (BSBA – Accounting). Betsy worked as a certified public accountant with KPMG, one of the big four international accounting firms, was a Senior Budget & Financial Analyst, Accounting Manager and Amenities Controller at ITT-CDC, an Accounting Manager at Daytona State College, Controller at Eli Bailey, Inc., Controller at Continental Property Services and has worked independently providing accounting services to local businesses.
Palm Coast Office Staff
Beth Murray
Beth is the receptionist in our Palm Coast office. She is a Masscahusetts native who has over 20 years of professional customer service experience in the banking industry and enjoys using that experience to help build relationships with our clients.
Mark Stanziano - Private Investigator
Mark is the private investigator for Chanfrau & Chanfrau as well as the office manager of our Palm Coast office. He has worked with the firm since 2010.
Lori Macnamara
Lori has been a paralegal with Chanfrau & Chanfrau’s Palm Coast office since 2015, but has been in the legal field since 1996. Lori attended Ridley Lowell Business School for Legal Studies.
