DHSMV reported 183 bicycle crashes in 2016, which resulted in 171 injuries and 5 fatalities. This is down from 2015 numbers, which counted 202 total crashes, 192 injuries, and 4 fatalities.
In terms of pedestrian accidents, DHSMV noted 272 pedestrian-related auto collisions, causing 221 injuries and 16 fatalities. This number is up from 2015 statistics, which tallied 258 pedestrian-related collisions in the county, leading to 199 injuries and 17 fatalities.
