It’s March in Daytona, which can mean only one thing: Bike Week is coming!  Between March 7 and March 16, about half-a-million bikers and motorcycle lovers will gather in our beautiful city to race, rock out, and party. The 2014 Bike Week figures to be the most exciting yet, with live music, awesome bike shows, a treasure hunt, and the east end of the Daytona International Speedway devoted to providing the complete Harley-Davidson experience - not to mention the Daytona Supercross. It’s the official start of the biking season!

Unfortunately, while most people are able to enjoy the festivities and party responsibly, there are always a few that cause trouble - and injuries to their fellow bikers. Daytona Bike Week car accidents, truck accidents, and, of course, motorcycle accidents are an unfortunate staple of what is otherwise the best motorcycle rally in the country. If you or someone you love is injured in an auto accident during Bike Week and find yourself in need of an experienced personal injury attorney, the law firm of Chanfrau & Chanfrau has three of the finest in the state. We offer our legal services both to Florida residents and to those who are visiting from other states, accepting referrals and paying fees.

About Daytona Bike Week

Daytona Bike Week is a tradition that dates back 77 years to the first Daytona 200 on January 24, 1937. Up until 1961, the Daytona 200 was held on a course that combined the city’s roads and beach. Beginning in 1961, it was moved to the world-famous Daytona International Speedway, where it continues to be held until this day.

Area stores, restaurants, and hotels welcome bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts from throughout the country and around the world during Bike Week. The auto accident attorneys of Chanfrau & Chanfrau join our community leaders in extending warm welcomes to visitors to our great city.

Auto Accidents during Bike Week

Whether caused by exhaustion, alcohol consumption, the use of recreational drugs, or reckless driving, auto accidents are an unfortunate reality of Bike Week. Each year, there are a number of injuries and even deaths associated with the event. If you are injured in an auto accident caused by someone else’s negligent driving, you may be entitled to compensation for:

In cases of particularly egregious negligence, you may be further entitled to punitive damages, or damages intended to punish the person responsible for the accident rather than simply to compensate the victims for his or her demonstrable losses.
