Roxanne Courson

Roxanne Courson began her legal career in 1973 working for an insurance defense firm in Daytona Beach. After two years there, she began working as a legal secretary to an attorney who specialized in plaintiff’s personal injury and decided that was her true calling. After nine years at that firm she joined Chanfrau & Chanfrau in 1985 as Bill Chanfrau Sr.’s personal secretary/legal assistant. She was promoted to office manager in 2002 and continues to work directly for Bill Sr. as his personal secretary while also assisting in the organization and maintenance of his cases, assisting with supervising and training of staff personnel, as well as performing various administrative duties.

She prides herself in developing personal and professional relationships with clients and enjoys participating as an active member of various mediation and trial teams for the firm’s cases.

Roxie has been married to her husband for 34 years and has two grown children, one of whom now has followed in her footsteps and works as an administrative secretary in the firm as well. Roxie’s husband is a victim of an automobile crash which rendered him an incomplete quadriplegic. This has helped her develop a special empathy for seriously injured clients.
